Balloons Aloft, Inc. is owned by Marty Pfenninger, a Commercial-Rated Hot Air Balloon and airplane Pilot, and his wife, Johanna. Marty has been an Instrument Rated fixed-wing (airplane) pilot for over 40 years, has been involved with ballooning for about 25 years, and is happiest when he is up in the air! All of our pilots are Commercial Hot Air Balloon-rated. The company is dedicated to bringing fun, exhilarating, and safe hot air balloon rides to our special clientele.
Flights last about an hour, and take place in beautiful Hunterdon County, NJ. We launch from Sky Manor Airport, Pittstown, NJ. The landscape is a combination of wooded areas, farmland, and beautiful villages and towns. The passengers aloft are treated to a serene, fantastic, sometimes dream-like panorama. The experience of floating aloft is unparalleled for the novice as well as the experienced passenger. You can give yourself over to the sensation of floating above the land and away from your daily worries and stress. All our reservations are made via telephone or our website. If the website is used to request a flight, your reservation is not confirmed until you’ve spoken with someone from our office. Using the website will speed up the process by filling in the request form. In either case, a valid credit card number is required to hold your flight reservation.
IMPORTANT: 72 hours (3 days) notice must be given for cancellations or date changes. Cancellations by passengers made less than 72 hours before flight departure will incur a charge of 50% of the flight cost plus $20 on their credit card. If the pilot determines the weather is unsuitable or unsafe to fly, passengers will not be charged anything and may reschedule if desired.
Payment in full for your flight is due after the flight is complete. Cash or check will be accepted. Please bring cash or check for the full amount of the flight. If payment is not made after the flight is complete, or the passengers miss the flight, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the flight plus a $20 fee.
